Until Dawn Wiki
Credits The Scar's Awakening Transcripts

The Scar's Awakening is the Epilogue of Until Dawn (2024 Remake). The ending is attained if Sam survived the night, and takes place some years after the events of Blackwood Mountain.

06:00[]

Sam is seen at 06:00 AM in her home in Los Angeles, lying on a bed with her eyes open while surrounded by prescription pills. On her bed and on the floor, books about mythical legends, including one of the Wendigo, can be seen. She is alerted by the loud buzzing of her phone's work alarm. She gets up, and the framed Prom Night Photo can be seen on the floor. As Sam unlocks her phone, she suddenly notices a bleeding scar from her arm. A knock on her door is heard, to which she replies "I'm up". The scar, however, keeps bleeding profusely. Sam grabs a tissue and unsuccessfully tries to stop the bleeding, but starts to be surrounded by a red mist. The voice of Dr. Hill calls out her name.[1]

Trivia[]

  • The medication is labeled "Sertraline 50mg" — a type of antidepressant.
  • Sam's address is written on the medication: 791 Lafayette Street.
  • The books are titled 'Creature Myths of the Great Plains' and 'The Wendigo Log'.
  • Despite the voice being confirmed to be Dr. Hill's, the German dub incorrectly refers to it as 'Josh' in the subtitles.
  • The official Chapter title, 'The Scar's Awakening', is not seen in the game itself, but only through the video posted on the website of director Alessandro Gaudiosi (see: References). In the game, the segment simply opens with the text 'Some Years Later'.
  • This segment sparked discussion about it being a hint to a potential sequel.
