— Ted to the survivors
|
Father Ted Mosely is a priest and the chaplain of Blackwood Pines Sanatorium during the events of The Inpatient. He is voiced by Jarreth Merz and modelled on Michael Addo.
Appearance[]
Ted is African-Canadian and has brown eyes and curly, black hair, which, like his beard, he wears trimmed very short. As is typical of a priest in the Catholic church, he wears an all black ensemble: black pants, shoes, and a black, long sleeve dress shirt adorned with a white clerical collar. He personalizes his outfit with a green vest and brown, browline-style glasses.
Personality[]
Ted is a very calm and collected individual throughout the game. He is also shown to be quite observant, as he was the one who realized that stillness was the only defense against the Wendigo. He connected the legends he heard from indigenous tribes back in his Missionary days with the curse of the Wendigo and used that knowledge to save a small group of survivors.
His defining characteristic is his concern for the safety of the others. As the survivors make their way out of the sanatorium, he urges unity and tries to hold the group together. Memories reveal he begged Jefferson Bragg to cease his experiments on the miners. In the game's conclusion, he prevents either the protagonist or Dr. Bennet (whichever one is transforming into a Wendigo) from descending the mountain and attacking more people, potentially at the cost of his own life.
Trivia[]
