The Old Mask is the second clue in the 1952 Clueline. It can be found by Mike in an old shack, in Chapter 3 of Until Dawn.

Overview

An old mining gas mask. There's a label inside. It appears it belonged to the miner Billy Bates in the 1950s.

Choice

The player will be given the choice to either scare Jessica with it for a return of a sweet revenge, or show it to Jessica properly.

• If he shows it to her, she will mention it creeps her out, to which Mike will jokingly respond to.
• If he scares her with it, she will fall into a cold stream, being visibly upset and annoyed. Their relationship will slightly decrease, and Jess will hold Mike accountable for the loss of her phone later.

Location

The old gas mask can be found in the old shack, nearby the river, as Mike and Jessica make their way to the guest cabin.

Trivia

• The Old Mask is one of three clues - the others being the Threatening Letter and Journal: Bite - that offer choices related to them after being discovered.
