The Guest Cabin, also referred to as the Washington Cabin or simply the Cabin, is a medium-sized structure that forms part of the Washington Estate. Like the Washington Lodge itself, it's owned by the Washington Family.
History[]
It isn't clear whether the building existed back in the glory days of the Blackwood Pines Hotel, but when Bob Washington purchased the extended property and the Washington Lodge was built in the 1990’s, the cabin took its current form. The locale serves as guest accommodation and is often used by those seeking an intimate "cozy chalet" alternative to the grandeur of the Lodge. Nestled deep within the forest and requiring a lengthy walk from the main house to reach, the cabin offered privacy and tranquility.
Layout[]

An inside look at the cabin.
Compared with its larger counterpart, the cabin is a much more modest yet still very comfortable residence on Blackwood Mountain. The humble chalet-style abode is one story and features a small porch on its rustic exterior. The building is too small and too infrequently used to have its own power source. Instead, a generator located back at the lodge needs to be activated for the cabin to receive electricity.
The interior has an open floor plan with a moderate kitchen, dining area, and cozy living room. The centerpiece of the living room is a wood-burning stove fireplace where people could gather around. Down the hall are the private quarters: a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The space if decorated with family photos, books on different cultures, and hunting paraphernalia.

Tensions bubble over quickly as the gang reunites at the lodge for their annual getaway. After Jessica and Emily get into an argument, or Matt attacks Mike over his familiarity with Emily, Josh attempts to defuse the situation. In order for both parties to calm down, he hands Mike and Jessica a set of keys and suggests the couple go check out the guest cabin for some "alone time." After a long walk filled with multiple obstacles and frights, the two make it to the cabin after escaping from an unknown pursuer.

Mike and Jessica get more comfortable.
Wanting to settle in and lift their spirits, Jessica insists Mike start a fire and lighten up the place. Depending on how much he impressed Jessica along the way, she will be an immediate pushover not hesitating to make out with Mike, or she will be more resistant and attempt to delay. Mike may find a Native American Book, a Tennis Photo, and a Kama Sutra Book while he prepares the cabin for her.
If Jessica had not been fully impressed by Mike, she will tell him she had a false image of him, to which he will either reassure her of his intentions or unsuccessfully try to seduce her. Jessica asks for him to close the shutters and may explain her personal insecurities to him, and she may ask for Mike to find a blanket if he was dismissive about it.

Jessica grabbed through the cabin's window.
Just as the two begin to warm up, both literally and figuratively, they're interrupted by a jarring crashing sound. Mike investigates and finds Jessica's missing cellphone has been thrown through the bathroom window. Jessica assumes it’s a prank pulled by their friends and angrily storms outside to tell them off. Moments after her verbal tirade, she returns inside only to be grabbed by an unknown figure and violently pulled through the front door window. Mike quickly overcomes his shock and leaves the cabin to chase after her, grabbing the Hunting Rifle from wall on the way out.
The cabin is left abandoned and exposed to the elements. The site is not returned to during the rest of the game.
