Glore Valley is the primary location of Until Dawn (Film). It is a remote abandoned mining town located in Pennsylvania, United States.

History[]

In 1998, a mining accident caused the town of Glore Valley to sink, killing almost all of its inhabitants.

Dr. Hill came to Glore Valley to experiment on the survivors. He soon realised that their trauma, when added to the never-ending night, slowly transformed them into monsters: Wendigos.

In 2024, Clover, along with her friends Megan, Max, Abe, and Nina, search the abandoned town's surrounding grounds in search of Clover's sister Melanie, who vanished a year earlier. At a desolate roadside gas station, a cryptic attendant - later revealed to be Dr. Hill - warns them that people often go missing in the valley. Determined to find Melanie, the group presses on, but upon arriving at the Visitor’s Centre, find themselves ensnared in a nightmarish death loop.

Locations[]

  • Visitor Center - The visitor center is the main location of the film. Long abandoned, the building is located in the middle of Glore Valley's woods. Upon entering the visitor center, its guests become trapped in a death loop, while the house's hourglass resets at the start of each night, forcing them to experience new horrors.
  • Glore Valley Mines - Glore Valley was once a thriving mining town, but in 1998, tragedy struck when a catastrophic mining collapse causing the entire town to sink into the ground.
  • Glore Valley Sanatorium - The remaining survivors of the town's collapse were treated in its Sanatorium. Dr. Alan J. Hill was brought in as chief psychiatrist, but instead of helping the survivors, began experimenting on them and trapping them in the death loop, eventually causing them to turn into Wendigos after failing to escape the death loop.
