George Hawthorne is the police captain, who arrives at the Blackwood Sanatorium during the events of The Inpatient. He is voiced by Elimu Nelson and modelled by Tom Weston.
Events of The Inpatient[]
He appears at the very end of the game if the Inpatient remains human. While sitting in his office, Hawthorne refuses to believe the things the Inpatient saw and instead says that the Inpatient broke into Blackwood Sanatorium. Hawthorne then questions about who would actually be believed. At this point the Inpatient can either choose not to publish anything that happened or stand their ground and inform Hawthorne that they intend on telling everybody the truth. If the Inpatient chooses to stay silent, Hawthorne lets them go home with a stern reminder that he'll be keeping a close eye on the Inpatient. If the Inpatient refuses to back down and chooses to report about the events that happened at the Sanatorium, Hawthorne will knock out the Inpatient with the handle of his gun. The Inpatient is then seen inside of a padded cell and the image of a Wendigo will briefly appear.
